Absolute was one of the first yards to embrace IPS drives in their production, and as a result the company is incredibly well versed in the propulsion system. The Absolute 55 utilizes twin 700-horsepower Volvo Penta IPS 900s to achieve a top speed just shy of 39 knots.

Looking at this helm station, it’s hard not to get struck with the urge to put on some sunscreen, throw on your shades and point the bow to the horizon.

When the weather decides to turn, retire to the warmth and comfort of the Absolute 55’s ergonomic lower helm station.

With a nice mix of shade and sun, the Absolute 55’s cockpit is a great place to relax and enjoy a quiet anchorage and a good book. Access to the flying bridge is via a staircase to starboard (shown at left).

Guests won’t feel shortchanged when it comes time to bed down thanks to the spacious forward VIP stateroom. The queen berth is flanked by windows on both sides and overhead, providing plenty of natural light and giving the area a more open feel.

The full beam, amidships master features ample stowage and natural light, and the dinette with settees to port seems like the perfect place to greet the day with a cup of coffee and the morning paper.

The main saloon’s starboard-side aft dining area is close to both the galley (located opposite to port) and the cockpit, making it a great place to be part of the conversation in the kitchen, without missing the action outdoors.
