Slippery When Wet Gallery

If you've ever seen anything like this before, you've probably been doing something you shouldn't: either snooping round a couple of select UK shipyards or attracting the attention of British special forces. But this one isn't secret. Viewed from any angle, the VSV is like nothing you’ve seen before.

Owners Richard and Mary Reddyhoff improvise a launch ceremony.

The forward cabin in the bow – an ever-diminishing but not terribly cramped tube containing a double berth and en suite head.

Here’s the nook-like twin-bunk guest cabin on the port side.

The midships dinette located to starboard can seat five or six guests in comfort.

The galley is pretty simple in layout but adequate for high-latitude expeditions.

The interior helm position enjoys an elevated outlook and a commanding view forward.

Project manager Simon Baker (left) and Multimarine Composites boss Darreu Newton (right) with the proud owners, the Reddyhoffs (middle).

The VSV tracks and handles just like a powerful, V-bottom motoryacht.

With just a single Caterpillar C32 diesel, the engine room is spacious.

The top of the VSV’s cockpit table doubles as the engine-room hatch.
