This is the Pardo Endurance 72 that we sea-trialed last month in Miami. It’s one thing to talk about how joystick control mated to a pair of Volvo Penta IPS drives changes the game, but it’s another to actually see it in close quarters action. Forward to port, the gentleman’s cruiser Cielito—a priceless Stephens yacht from 1930. To our stern, a dayboat owned by billionaire Jonathan Rothberg that’s undergoing a refresh. The 128,000 pound, nearly 19 foot wide yacht threaded the needle like we were parallel parking a Mini Cooper.
